Caring for a variety of special canine needs
The Doggery’s purpose-built services cater to a wide variety of canine special needs. Active guests can make the most of the extensive rural acreage, exploring and exercising off-leash while they interact with, play, and enjoy the company of other canine pack members and staff. In contrast, less mobile guests, including those recovering from surgery and in rehabilitation, can relax and heal in their own custom accommodation or day rest setup; while being tended to by our qualified, compassionate team.
Guest Management System
At The Doggery we use KennelBooker to help keep our clients up to dote. With KennelBooker clients are able to maintain their own personal and pet records, upload vaccination certificates and medical notes, as well as receive booking information and invoices.To make a booking please email reservations.thedoggerynz@gmail.com
24/7 Special Needs Boarding
Our special needs boarding services have been designed to ensure all family members get the holiday or time out they deserve. In addition to receiving the kinds of services you’d expect from a regular boarding facility, such as meals, treats, and socialisation with other likeminded guests, Doggery guests also have access to special TLC, including 24/7 monitoring and administration of medications, where needed, daily customised programmes including adventures, exercise, fun, and play, twice daily supervised walks off leash as well as regular excursions off site, in-house physio, behavioural training and transportation to specialist appointments offsite, as well as a complimentary pick-up and drop-off service to and from our premises.
Boarding fees vary in line with each guest’s needs and start from $95 per day. 10% discount applies to sibling dogs and for stays over 21 days.
Special Needs Doggy Daycare
Our Doggery daycare service is open to all canine guests, no matter their physical or psychological limitations, Monday - Friday during school terms. Guest numbers are capped at eight dogs per day to ensure that each guest receives the personalised service they deserve and small packs are created daily in line with the sizes, temperaments, and energy levels of those attending. As with our Boarding services, specialised care, including the monitoring and administration of medications, where needed, as well as bespoke programmes, catering to both active and immobile guests, are the services that make The Doggery’s daycare services special.
Daycare fees start at $80 per 12-hour day, including our pick-up and drop-off service. Costs vary based on each attendee’s needs.

Post-Surgical Rehabilitation
The Doggery cover all aspects of post-surgical recovery and rehabilitation including, but not limited to, spinal surgeries, lumpectomies, orthopaedic surgeries including TPLO's, TTA's, FHO's, Cruciate repairs and more.
Our Veterinary Nurses here at The Doggery have well over a decade of experience each in the field ranging from surgical nursing, emergency and critical care nursing and more. With each of our cases they can apply all their previous experiences to help them achieve the best post-surgical recovery.
We are equipped to provide physiotherapy as part of your dog's post-surgical recovery plan, including Photizo light therapy and TENS machine stimulation.
Each post-surgical guest has a tailored treatment plan for the duration of their stay to ensure optimal care. As part of this we also liaise with their vet or specialist to ensure all their needs are fully met.
Our facility has been designed with surgical recovery in mind. Post-surgery, dogs can recover in our special recovery room where our highly trained team are close on hand to attend to any need.
International Canine Transportation
We understand the stress involved for you and your dog when international travel is necessary. Cecilia can work with you and international canine transporters to help get your dog ready for a big trip overseas.

WellBeing Days Out
Our WellBeing Days Out are all about off-leash, outdoor action and adventure. Be it exploring a forest, a beach, a bush, or local farmland; whatever the location, they’re guaranteed an action-filled day that will most likely leave them returned home to you happily exhausted. Like our boarding and daycare services, all canine companions are welcome to join The Doggery’s Adventure Days. Keep an eye on our website and your inbox for upcoming events.
Prices start at $90 for a one-off action-packed adventure day. This includes our pickup and drop-off service. Concessions available for 10+ sessions.
